Gateway College
Gateway Sixth Form College supports around 1,250 learners from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland providing a range of vocational, academic and technical qualifications from Entry level 1 to A Levels/Level 3. Based in Hamilton, Leicester, the college is situated on a purpose built 12 acre site. Gateway College strives to deliver 'excellence in education' and enables students to have a personalized learning experience aiming to challenge, inspire and motivate regardless of a student's background or ability.
Leicester College
Here at Leicester College, we offer a comprehensive range of further education courses and post 16 training, in support of technical, vocational and higher education qualifications across a broad range of subject areas, including ESOL, from post 16 entry to university level to around 13,000 students, who range in age from 14 to 75.
New College
Equivalent in size to 3 A Levels. 13 units of which 8 are mandatory and 5 are optional. This qualification is a 2-year full time study programme that looks in depth at the health and social care sector. The health and social care sector comprises of two sub sectors, health care and social care. Health care encompasses all hospital activities, medical nursing homes and GP services, for example. The social care sector includes residential nursing care, residential nursing facilities residential care facilities, domiciliary care and social work. Students are able to progress into working the sector through degree programmes in nursing, midwifery, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and pharmacy, for example. There are more than 300 distinct career paths in this sector.
