Tracey is an incredible lady who continuously goes above and beyond as a support worker. Tracey makes every effort to meet the client's long-term goals and make each session fun and enjoyable and Tracey is welcomed back by every client she visits with open arms. Tracey has recently come forward to offer further support for clients and is engaging with clients within our employability programme, and committing to further benefits training so that she can offer this free of charge to those we serve. We are truly lucky to have Tracey on board and feel she deserves to be recognised.

Tracey W (Support Worker, Enrych)

I would like to thank Carers Direct Homecare, I started this job with them in November 2016 from that day I have learnt new things everyday, I feel very proud with myself no matter how my day was. When I see my service users they have a big smile on their faces, and it brings smile to my face as well! Some even say "your magic hands" when I wash and apply their cream for their pain relief.

With this job I have set up new goals for myself, I now walk 10,000 steps everyday whilst I do my visits.

I am very happy to be a care support worker.

With this job we stay fit and healthy 💗

Rajwant Kaur (Senior Care Support, Carers Direct Homecare)

Thankyou to Carers Direct Homecare and Social Care Staff who were involved in my Dad's Care.

I wanted to share some feedback on the Carers Direct Homecare (R K and P S) who were assigned to care for my father, C T, who sadly passed away on Sept 7 2023.

As my siblings and I live in other countries, RK and PS kept us updated via messages, calls, and video chats (as necessary) to make sure we knew my dad's status. When we were fortunate enough to visit, we found RK and PS provided the services they were assigned by Carers Direct Homecare and went above and beyond those services by assisting my mum with other tasks.

RK and PS, as I shared in my eulogy, were my father's newest "children". They are the children that God sent to him. They looked after him through the years and through his sickest days, up to the day he went to join God. They cared for him with great love, gentleness, devotion, dignity, and respect. They have become part of our family. The words "Thank You" cannot describe our gratitude to them.

I would like to give a massive 'Shout Out' to our amazing Nurse Managers, Clinical Leads, Nurses, Nurse Associates, Trainees and Student Nurses that are working within Prime Life Nursing & Residential homes. The role of a social care nurse is complex, takes an enormous amount of skill and is a role to be celebrated. Our nurses role model, take high levels of responsibility and great trust is placed on them. Our nurses carry in-depth knowledge of our residents through close relationship centred care and their high levels of autonomy mean that they have influence over hospital admission avoidance whilst managing long term and enduring conditions. They are multi skilled, highly professional and yet not always championed in the same way as the NHS. International Nurses Day gives us the opportunity to shine a light on this fantastic group of staff who have been on the front line over the past 12months+, they have carried on regardless, been there to support the care teams, families, other professionals and of course our residents. I am sure that many of them will have shed a tear when holding the hand of a resident in their last moments of life, providing comfort when families could not be there. You are often unsung heroes so please use International Nurses Day to walk tall and shout from the rooftops how brilliant Social Care nurses are! Thank you for today and every day!

Vicki Shaw (Workforce Development Director, Prime Life LTD)

A big shout out and a huge thank you to our fantastic nurses at Parkmanor Nursing Home in Coalville.

Louise Summers (Manager, Parkhouse Nursing Home)

A message for my nurses!

You all work so hard and go above and beyond for our residents. Together we battled COVID, we were challenged with the most difficult months when our home was badly affected. But together we got through it. You continued to smile and give hope to our residents and staff. You were brave and worked tirelessly, and I never heard you complain. I am proud to work alongside you; I hope you know how much I appreciate you all.

GO TEAM BEAUMANOR!

Thank you for looking after my neighbour when she was recovering from a period in hospital. It was so reassuring to know that she had support professionals who specialised in mental health looking out for her and helping her back on her feet.
