The Role
A young individual requires the support of a PA who is energetic, pro-active and has a good sense of humour. This role is temporary until June 2025 covering maternity leave. Preferred days/times: Thursday & Friday - 8am - 4pm. The times may change slightly but core hours will be 8 hours per day Saturday & Sunday – 6 hours to be used flexibly over the weekend The PA must have a clean UK driving Licence and their own vehicle (Fuel costs will be reimbursed). Tasks/duties: Life skills – Supporting with life skills such as cooking, domestic tasks, and personal care. Supporting with accessing the community including accessing groups, clubs, activities, and taking them to their personal trainer at the gym Client main diagnosis: Down Syndrome and learning difficulties Communication: It can sometimes be difficult to understand the client, therefore they have a talker device to support with communication. Client enjoys: Swimming, music, drama, cinema, going to the gym, going for walks and socialising.
