The Role
Position to commence beginning of December 2024. To support 4 hours a week on either a Saturday or Sunday. Flexible. PA tasks/duties: Client to be supported by a PA to access the community by taking her on walks in her wheelchair or visiting local cafes or Art Group. Interests: Client is a Leicester City fan so likes to go the football games with her brother, watches strictly come dancing, swimming at rainbows hospice, using her phone, playing on Nintendo switch, having nails done and "doing girly things', and Art. Moving and handling: Client is fully wheelchair bound and hoisted for all transfers. She has all the equipment required in her home environment however, PA may need training on how to use the equipment to complete personal care. Relevant diagnosis: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2, Chromosome rearrangement mild learning difficulty. Client is a friendly and social individual who can voice her own opinions and decisions, but due to SMA, this means physically she requires support with daily activities. Previous care experience desired but not essential. This opportunity is suited for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, and respectful of others' privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs.
